Senior Account Manager

Develop long-term business relationships with clients by learning their business environment and recommending the appropriate IT solutions. Senior Sales Engineer

VLSystems is looking to hire a senior inside sales engineer to join the Products Business Unit. The position is responsible for working closely with the sales team to win business by preparing sales proposals and equipment specifications that fulfill the needs of our clients. Position requires technical knowledge of hardware and software products (VLSystems focuses on HP, Cisco, and Microsoft products) and effective team building and communications skills.

Senior Systems Engineer

As a Senior Systems Engineer, your mission will be to act as a consultant and a hands-on project lead for medium to large scale infrastructure solutions for our clients. You will lead the design, implementation, support and documentation of mission critical business systems and network infrastructures. As an engineer, you will interface with internal VLSystems personnel and extensively with our client base, travel 60 - 80% of the time to client locations in Southern California (Los Angeles, Orange County, Inland Empire and San Diego). Prior consulting background/experience preferred.

Requirements:

• Must have extensive knowledge of high performance computing systems, infrastructure virtualization, network security, storage area networks, and data protection.
• Must have extensive experience with deploying best practice based infrastructures with VMware vSphere/VI 3.x, VMware View/VDI, Microsoft Server 2008/2003, Microsoft Exchange 2007/2003, hp & Dell blade, server and storage solutions.
• Must have experience as a pre-sales engineer. This position needs a pre-sales expert and will engage the sales force in pre-sales and post sales opportunities.
• Working knowledge with file and volume management, clustering and replication, backup and recovery solutions, high availability, performance and tuning, etc.
• Solid understanding of networking technologies such as protocols, routing, QOS, NIC and HBA.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting and management systems such as Microsoft's Systems Center Operations Manager or Configuration manager
• Preferred candidate will also have skills with:
  • Network Architecture, network design and Datacenters
  • Solid networking understanding on all product.
  • Solid understanding of network security and firewalls (Cisco Security solutions)

What you'll be doing:

• Willing to assist in the delivery of support and services to customers as needed.
• Participate in the design, implementation and administration of Windows Servers and related infrastructures
• Troubleshooting high end issues with systems, networking and virtual infrastructures
• Proficient in conducting architecture chalk talks and design concepts.
• Assist the sales team with pre-sales and post-sales opportunities.
• Facilitate and conduct product demonstrations, webinars and presentations to customers.
• Assists the sales team with requests for bids/proposals.
  • Technical writing skills and will assist sales with Requests for Quotes/Information.
  • Creates Statements of Work (SOW's) for proposals and installations
• Able to create Build-of-Material (BOM's) and Visio's for proposals of solutions.

Desired Certifications

• VMware VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VMware Certified Technical Sales Professional (VTSP)
• Microsoft’s MCSE (2000 or greater) certification
• Degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology or have 5-7 years of related field experience
• Additional Certifications in Cisco, Microsoft, VMWare or CISSP are desirable but not required.

Systems Engineer

Systems engineer with desktop experience as well as experience designing, implementing and administering LANs in medium environments. Must be able to work directly with clients, be familiar with Microsoft Server Products and Operating Systems, and be an active participant in the project roll-out. Candidate will have 2-3 years network engineering, Microsoft Windows 2003, LAN design and implementation experience. Engineering degree preferred.
