Senior Account Manager

Develop long-term business relationships with clients by learning their business environment and recommending the appropriate IT solutions. Senior Sales Engineer

VLSystems is looking to hire a senior inside sales engineer to join the Products Business Unit. The position is responsible for working closely with the sales team to win business by preparing sales proposals and equipment specifications that fulfill the needs of our clients. Position requires technical knowledge of hardware and software products (VLSystems focuses on HP, Cisco, and Microsoft products) and effective team building and communications skills.

Senior Systems Engineering Consultant

As a Senior Systems Engineer, your mission will be to act as a consultant and a hands-on project lead for medium to large scale infrastructure solutions for our clients. You will lead the design, implementation, support and documentation of mission critical business systems and network infrastructures. As a consultant, you will interface with internal VLSystems personnel and extensively with our client base, travel 60 - 80% of the time to client locations in Southern California (Los Angeles, Orange County, Inland Empire and San Diego). Prior consulting background/experience preferred.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology or equivalent experience.
• 5-7 years of engineering experience and 2-3 years of experience of top level escalation in the following discipline areas:
  • Cisco – Security. Routing & Switching, Wireless, Data Center
  • Microsoft Operating Systems and Server Products
  • Vendor Specific Security Products: Trend Micro, RSA, SonicWALL, WatchGuard, eEye, Qualys, Symantec, McAfee, Check Point
  • Storage & Disaster Recovery Products & Solutions such as: SAN, NAS. DAS, CommVault, EMC, EqualLogic, Veritas Server Hardware & Products from manufacturers such as: hp, Dell, IBM
• Experience designing and deploying secure network architecture (LAN, WAN, Wireless)
• Experience in the design and deployment of Microsoft Active Directory, the migration to Active Directory and Microsoft Messaging Solutions (i.e., Exchange, Live Communications Server).
• Experience discovering, auditing, and documenting best practice methodologies and road-maps for customers’ infrastructures.
• One or more of the following certifications:
  • Cisco Internetworking Expert + Security (i.e., CCIE +S)
  • Cisco Certified Professional (i.e., CCSP, CCDP, CCNP, CCVP, CCIP)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (i.e., CISSP)
  • Microsoft’s Certified Systems Engineer (i.e., MCSE)
• Ability to travel 60% to 80% in Southern California and have the scheduling flexibility to work on weekends and in the evenings while traveling (in order to work around our clients' schedules.)

Systems Engineer

Systems engineer with desktop experience as well as experience designing, implementing and administering LANs in medium environments. Must be able to work directly with clients, be familiar with Microsoft Server Products and Operating Systems, and be an active participant in the project roll-out. Candidate will have 2-3 years network engineering, Microsoft Windows 2003, LAN design and implementation experience. Engineering degree preferred.
